Heart Disease

Heart disease is the leading cause of death among adults in developed countries. Death occurs when a clot forms in the body’s vessels taking blood flow away from the brain (causing a stroke) or the heart (a heart attack). This debilitating disease usually starts when the cardiovascular system experiences some type of stress (i.e. a diet high in fats or salt, smoking, infection, increased blood pressure, or a lack of physical exercise). While we cannot change any genetic predisposition we may have, we can reduce our chances of developing heart disease by making simple adjustments to our lifestyle. These include increased physical activity, eating a healthy diet, abstaining from tobacco and alcohol and using proper supplements.

There are many different drugs on the market that are designed to lower your blood pressure, change your platelet activity and blood flow, and fight cholesterol levels, but they come with major side effects. These side effects range from the annoying dizziness and uncomfortable constipation to heart palpitations and kidney damage [1].

We look to science and nature to provide us with safer alternatives. We have partnered with a company that has been able to harness the antioxidant and anti-platelet benefits of grape skins and seeds and other beneficial flavonoids.
